Registration & Line-Up

• Floats can start lining up at 8:00AM

  • Look for posted signs around the park showing locations

  • Parade and Fair Officials will also be on site to help direct floats

  • Refer to the lineup map

    • Please note that locations may change based on number of entries.

    • Final directions will be given by officials and parade volunteers

• Registration/check-in will open at 8:30 AM

  • Look for registration table in Southwest Corner of City Park

• All parade entries MUST REGISTER before 9:30AM

Entry Requirements

• All floats must display the parade theme: “Stars, Stripes, and Country Nights”

• Theme must be visible on both sides of the float.

• Organization, business, or entry name must be visible on both sides of the float

Candy Policy

• Candy may be thrown from floats and parade entries

• Candy must be thrown safely and responsibly

  • Throw candy far enough toward the curb that spectators do not need to enter parade route to pick it up

  • Do not throw candy directly at people, vehicles, horses, machinery, emergency vehicles, etc

  • Parents and spectators are responsible for keeping children out of the parade route.

    • Children may not run into the street or between parade entries to collect candy.

  • Parade officials will remove or disqualify any entry that creates an unsafe situation

    • That entry may not be allowed to return for future parades

Water Policy

• No water guns, water balloons, or other water-spraying devices are allowed.

• This applies to parade participants and spectators.

• Any entry using water guns/balloons/etc. will be disqualified and may not be allowed to enter future parades

Safety Rules

• Drive slowly and carefully throughout line-up, the parade route, and return route.

• Keep a safe distance between parade entries.

• Follow all directions from law enforcement, parade/fair officials, and volunteers.

• Drivers must remain alert at all times.

• Riders should remain safely seated or secured while the entry is moving.

• Entries with horses, machinery, trailers, children, or large vehicles should take extra care to be aware of surroundings and environment

• No reckless driving, unsafe behavior, or activity that puts spectators or participants at risk will be allowed.

Kids’ Parade Information

• The Kids’ Parade begins at 9:45 AM, before the Main Parade.

• Kids will register and line up at the SW corner of City Park beginning at 8:30 AM

• Kids must stay behind the police car

• Parents, please note: the Kids’ Parade does not return to City Park.

  • Children must be picked up at Tipton & 11th Street.
